PURPOSE:A disk material having excellent crystal transparency, low hygroscopicity and high rigidity, and being easily formed into disks, prepared by polymerizing a specified aromatic ring-containing diallyl compound monomer. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting resin prepared by polymerizing a monomer comprising a bis(oxyalkylenephenyl)diallyl carbonate of formula I (wherein R1 is H or CH3, R2 is -CH2CH2O- or a group of formula II or III, X is Cl or Br, Y is direct bond, O, CO, SO2, CH2, or a group of formula IV or V, m and n are each 1-4, and a is 0 or 1-4) or a derivative thereof (e.g., a compound of formula VI). This thermosetting resin has excellent crystal transparency and low hygroscopicity, high rigidity and can be easily formed into disks, so that it is suitable as a disk material. |
