PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition giving a high-quality fiber having excellent spinnability and free from generation of powder and fluff in secondary processing, by compounding a high-density polyethylene and a straight-chain low-density polyethylene with a fatty acid amide or its mixture with a metallic soap. CONSTITUTION:(A) 99.99-99.0pts.wt. of a high-density polyethylene or a straight- chain low-density polyethylene or their mixture is compound with (B) 0.01-1.0 pts.wt. of a fatty acid or its mixture with a metallic soap. The component A is a crystalline copolymer of >=50wt% ethylene and <=50% other alpha-olefins and having a melt index of 5-50g/10min. The component B is a 12-24C higher fatty acid amine, or a sodium, lithium, calcium or magnesium salt of a 12-24C higher fatty acid or its hydroxy derivative. |
