<p>An apparatus for introducing gas into a liquid or suspension, especially sludge treatment apparatus, has a container for the liquid and a submersible aerator whose outlet opens into the container via an inlet in the bottom region. Inside the container a deflector is provided, in a helical manner, over at least part of the circumference. Said deflector extends preferably diametrically between the inner walls of the container and forms a helix in such a way that a helical space is formed between the walls of the helix. As a result, the flow path of the liquid admixed with gas bubbles is expanded, and the transition of the gas into the liquid is improved. The risk of solid contaminants, for example fibres, accreting is largely avoided. <IMAGE></p> |
