The patentable SHEET MUSIC HOLDER permits sheet music to be clamped somewhat above the BASE OF THE STAND by actuating two spring-loaded plates. As a result, the pages of a piece of music can be turned without encountering any resistance on the BASE, so that the sheet music is not torn and time is not wasted in overcoming this resistance. As a result, reliable and/or rapid page-turning is therefore possible. It may be sufficient merely to raise the sheet music by a few millimetres, and otherwise the sheet music remains resting in the variably manufactured grooves (with the binding reinforcements). Even in the event of an ff on the piano, the SHEET MUSIC HOLDER holds the music so firmly that it does not slip. The SPRING-LOADED SHEET MUSIC HOLDER and the variably made grooves are thus a progressive further development of musical equipment, that is to say an "INDUSTRIAL PATENT".
