PURPOSE:To enable high-speed bleaching low in toxicity and to obtain good image quality by incorporating a specified compd. in a processing soln. contg. a metal complex salt or persulfuric acid to be used for bleach-fixing or bleaching which is operated in succession to color development processing. CONSTITUTION:After color developing an imagewisely exposed silver halide color photographic sensitive material, it is treated in a process including steps contg. a metal salt of org. acid or persulfuric acid and having bleaching ability, and at least one of such steps contains at least one of compds. represented by the formula R1-S-S-R2 in which R1, R2 are each -COOM, -SO3M, -CONRR', or -SO2NRR'; M is H or a metal atom; and R, R' are each H, alkyl, aryl sulfo, or aryl sulfonyl. The addition of such a compd. to a bleaching soln. or bleach-fixing soln. or their pretreatment soln. can exhibit superior acceleration effect. This bleaching acceleration effect is not lowered by adding the color developing soln. attached to the material to be processed, and further, even if it is used in a large amt., it does not hinder fixing, and does not cause fog. |
