PURPOSE:To coat uniformly the inside of a long-sized metallic pipe with a metal different from the metal of the pipe by applying a mixture of fine metallic grains having a low m.p. with a liq. substance having the action of a flux to the inside of the pipe with plural plugs connected to each other and by melting the grains by heating. CONSTITUTION:A metallic pipe 1 is drawn with rolling down with a die 3 fixed at a certain position and a plug 2 by passing through the die 3 in the direction of an arrow. At this time, a plug 5 for application is connected to the tip of the plug 2 with a rod 8 in-between, and a mixture 4 of a liq. flux with fine metallic grains is put between the two plugs 2, 5 to apply the mixture 4 to the inside of the resulting metallic pipe 6 in the form of a thin layer 7. The fine metallic grains in the layer 7 are then melted by heating the pipe 6 to coat the inside of the pipe 6 with the metal different from the metal of the pipe 6. The metallic pipe 1 is made of Cu, Al, Ti, stainless steel or the like, and Sn, Pb, Zn, Ni, Al, Ag, Au, Cu or the like is used as the metal as the coating material. |
