In an axial ventilator having a housing casing surrounding the impeller, a device is provided for separating out liquid droplets from a gas stream. The device is provided with a collection space at least partially annularly surrounding the housing casing. This collection space is connected in the downstream-side region of the rotor vane ends by at least one through-hole in the housing casing to the flow channel of the ventilator.
