<p>Increasing the degree of whiteness of deinked waste paper is carried out by pulping in a mixer at a 2-3 fold concn. of all bleach and deinking chemicals, which is attained by the limiting concn. on re-use of the return water in close recirculation from the subsequent dehydrated waste paper and the fresh addn. of the usual chemicals per charge. The deinked waste paper from newspapers and periodicals can be used instead of prim. wood and cellulose pulp in graphic papers. Besides better utilisation of the H2O2 bleach, the deinking effect is higher and mottling is suppressed. In an example, deinked pulp with a degree of whiteness of 65.2% was obtd. from dispersed wate paper with a degree of whiteness of 43% by recycling and adding fresh liquor, so that the concn. of chemicals was 2-3 times te usual concn. Graphic paper with a degree of whiteness of 68% and good printing qualities was obtd. by adding kaolin filler.</p> |
