In the method for producing a heat exchanger having a plurality of heat pipes spaced apart in parallel which contain a fluid heat-carrying medium, for the purpose of simplifying the production method for an operational heat exchanger it is provided that all the ends of the heat pipes (2, 5, 8, 11) are closed, it being possible in each case for adjacent ends (3, 6; 6, 9; 9, 12) having one medium each to flow from one heat pipe (2, 5, 8) into the adjacent heat pipe (5, 8, 11), and that the medium is filled through an open feed pipe (21) discharging into a heat pipe (2) and is interrupted by external influence after filling of the through duct in each pipe. <IMAGE>
