PURPOSE:To improve considerably the debugging efficiency by performing automatic calculation so that addresses displayed at a tracing time coincide with addresses on a list and identifying which program modules these addresses exist in. CONSTITUTION:When a debugging object program is executed in the trace mode, the start of a module range table is designated by a pointer, and trace data is compared with the lower limit absolute address and the upper limit absolute address of a module range. If trace data is not within the range, the pointer is counted up by one; but if trace data is within the range, the lower limit absolute address is subtracted, and the resultant value is stored in an area ME of a display data editing area. A module identification code attached to the module range designated by the pointer at present is stored in the area ME also. Edited data and the module identification code stored in each area are displayed on a trace data display device. |
