PURPOSE:The titled nutritiously excellent dried food, obtained by drying raw meat or fish or shellfish, etc. by irradiation with far infrared rays at a specific low temperature and ultraviolet rays, capable of keeping natural hue and flavor without influence of season and weather. CONSTITUTION:Raw meat, shell or shellfish, etc. 3 is placed on a far infrared ray sheet 1, e.g. cloth of carbon fibers, prepared by arranging carbon in the plane form, and electric current is made to flow to heat the raw meat, etc. at 55-85 deg.C by the electrical resistance of the carbon. Thus, the raw meat, etc. 3 is irradiated with far infrared rays at a low temperature and further with ultraviolet rays from ultraviolet lamps 2 and dried in a state close to the drying in the sun. Therefore, the aimed dried food having good preservation quality with increased vitamin D content is obtained sanitarily without deteriorating the protein and fat.
