PURPOSE:To enable a seat to the both reclining function and folding function, by a method wherein a second member is rotatably coupled to a first member, and each of the members is laterally rotatably coupled to a rotating mechanism disposed to the side of the member. CONSTITUTION:The base of a seat back frame 2 is rotatably coupled to the rear of a seat cushion frame 1 through a hinge 3. A rotary arm 6 and a base member 5, to which the rotary arm is coupled, are attached to the sides of the members 2 and 1, respectively, and a reclining mechanism 4, which can adjust the inclination angle of the rotary arm 6 by means of a lever 7, is provided. Sides 1a' and 2a' of the frames 1 and 2 are laterally rotatably coupled to the base member 5 and the rotary arm 6 through hinges 8 and 9, respectively. In this case, rotation axes lc and ld of the hinges 8 and 9 are positioned within the same plane, and an intersection point between the rotation axes lc and ld is caused to pass through rotation axes la and lb of the rotary arm and the hinge 3, respectively.
