Tampon comprises cotton and cellulosic material synthetic foam material or similar. Optionally there is envelope of a nonwoven material which does not kind to fluff up, and an extraction string. The tampon is impregnated with an acidifying substance which is buffered to impart a pH value of 2-5 esp. 3.5-4.5 to any secretions. - Pref. the substance is made of e.g. one or more Lactobacilli, of which the glycogen is converted to lactic acid, or come harmless endogen or exogen acids. Pref. the tampon contains a retardation or stabilising agents. |
