PURPOSE:To stably obtain hot water by directing condensed water exactly to the inner surface of a can by a method in which a heat exchanger is set in an one-way inclined spiral form in the can, receiving trays are spirally provided in the lower part of the heat exchanger along it in a continuous manner, partition plates are provided on the ways of the receiving trays, and the surface of the inner cylinder is wrapped with a wick from the liquid trap portion to the upward direction. CONSTITUTION:When a working liquid 6 is heated by a heating burner 7, the liquid 6 is given the evaporation latent heat in a vacuum can and becomes vapor in the can. When the internal pressure of the can reaches the set pressure of a pressure switch 10 to detect the internal pressure, a valve 11 is closed and at the same time the burning of the burner 7 is stopped to keep the internal pressure of the can at a set pressure all the time. When cold water is introduced from a water supply port 3a into the heat exchanger 3, the vapor is condensed on the outer surface of the exchanger 3 by cooling and the condensed liquid drops through receiving trays 4, spirally flows down the outer surface of the inner cylinder 2, and is trapped in the liquid trap formed by the partition plates 12. The whole outer surface of the inner cylinder 2 can thus be wetted by the wick 5 rising from the liquid trap. |
