PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and sensitivity, and also to make a titled sensor small in size and light in weight by enclosing a medium which is not mixed with a magnetic fluid and also has a different specific gravity, and also providing a constant- magnetism generating means for making the magnetic fluid cylindrical, and detecting a position of the magnetic fluid. CONSTITUTION:The titled sensor has a case 3 for enclosing a magnetic fluid 1 and a medium 2, and the case 3 is constituted of a bottomed cylindrical pipe part 4 consisting of a non-magnetic material, and a bolt part 5. As for the case 3, the inside is kept airtight by an ''0'' ring 7, and the medium 2 is prevented from being oxidized. The medium 2 is not mixed with the magnetic fluid 1, also has a different specific gravity from that of the magnetic fluid 1, and adjusts the sensitivity of an acceleration sensor in accordance with a magnitude of the specific gravity. The periphery of the case 3 is covered with a housing 8 consisting of a non-magnetic material and a cover body 9, and a detecting means 10 for detecting a position of the magnetic fluid 1 and a constant-magnetism generating means 11 are placed in a space between the case 3 and the housing 8. The means 11 consists of a ring-shaped permanent magnet, and supplies a constant magnetism to the magnetic fluid. In such a way, the reliability and sensitivity are improved, and the titled sensor can be made small in size and light in weight. |
