PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable continuous use when a low-load device is connected and used, without operating a protection circuit provided on the battery side.SOLUTION: A timer circuit 21 generates and outputs, at 10-minute intervals, a high-level signal to cause a MOSFET 23 to be set to an ON state for only one second. A protection circuit operation prevention circuit 12 controls a battery 20 to make a current flow of 1 A or greater at 10-minute intervals, on the basis of the output from the timer circuit 21. Thus, a portable power supply 10 can be used continuously if a low-load device such as a mobile telephone is connected thereto, while preventing the incorrect operation of a protection circuit provided on the battery 20. |
