<p>PURPOSE:To constitute a steering shaft from a rod member having a certain length by allowing the fulcrum of the swing shaft of a front swing frame to be set on a same line to the center of a lower steering joint, in a 4-wheel driving off-road car. CONSTITUTION:At the free-edge side of a front swing frame 2 axially supported in vetically swingable ways through pivot shafts 6 and 7 at the front part of a chassis frame 1, front wheels 3l and 3r are axially mounted in free steering through king pins 17l and 17r on the right and left sides. A steering link mechanism L connected to the front wheels 3l and 3r is connected through a lower steering joint 25 at the lower edge of a steering shaft 24. In this case, the relative position between pivot shafts 6 and 7 and the lower steering joint 25 is set so that the center C of the lower steering joint 25 is set on the longitudinal axis line L-L of the pivot shafts 6 and 7. Therefore, the steering shaft 24 can be constituted from a rod member having a certain length, not in expandable constitution.</p> |
