The chopping machine has a rotor (1) with a cover surface in which there are a number of tracks (5). In the tracks, the chopping blades (4) are fitted with their edge parts (26) outside the cover surface. The aperture (34) has a flat primary support surface (35) against which a first flat side of the blade edge part (26) locates, and a secondary support surface (36) located at a distance from the mouth of the aperture and directly adjacent to the primary support surface. - Against the secondary support surface (36) locates the chopping blade edge (16). The fixture (28) has partly a lock component (38) for fixing it to the chopping blade so that the blade edge part is pressed against the primary support surface, and partly a projecting distance component (56) working in conjunction with the rotor cover surface at a position adjacent to the blade accommodating aperture so that the fixture is adjusted at a predetermined distance from the cover surface. |
