PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of camber on a rolled material by setting a leveling amount properly, even when the rolled material before the start of rolling has chamber or when a width press device is provided in front of a rolling mill.SOLUTION: A control method of a rolling mill for rolling a heated rolled material with the rolling mill after reducing its width with a width press device includes a control step of calculating a leveling amount of the rolling mill on the basis of a temperature deviation in the width direction of the rolled material, a width of the rolled material before the width reduction, and a width reduction amount of the rolled material, and controlling the rolling mill based on the calculated leveling amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
