PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of heat exchange by a method in which a baffle cylinder and an outer cylinder are each provided concentrically with a pipe heat exchanger on the inside and outside of the pipe heat exchanger, and plural uneven lines are formed in the horizontal direction on the baffle cylinder and the outer cylinder. CONSTITUTION:When a burner 9 is operated, high-temperature combustion gas is directed between a baffle cylinder 5 and an outer cylinder 6, and upwardly discharged to the outside while being heat-exchanged in a heat exchange pipe 4. Whereupon, the combustion gas goes up in a zig-zagged manner alternately in the inside and outside directions along uneven lines 7 and 8 formed in the horizontal direction between the baffle cylinder 5 and the outer cylinder 6 because the recessed line 7 of the outer cylinder 6 and the projected line 8 of the baffle cylinder 5 and the projected line 8 of the outer cylinder 6 and the recessed line 7 of the outer cylinder 5 are formed in a mutually facing manner. Since the combustion gas collides in the right-angled direction all the time with the pipe 4 and thereby the heat transfer coefficient between the combustion gas and the pipe 4 is raised, the efficiency of heat exchange can be enhanced. |
