PURPOSE:To make the constitution compact while eliminating the need for a chopper and to permit easier carrying of an IR gas analyzer by forming one of two chambers in a concentrically disposed cell as a measuring cell for a measuring gas and the other as a measuring cell for a reference gas and positioning heat sensitive type detectors to face the respective chambers. CONSTITUTION:The IR rays from a light source 11 are irradiated into the cell 12 after the specific wavelength thereof is selectively transmitted through a filter 14. The reference gas is filled in the inside chamber 12a of the cell 12 and the transmitted IR rays are made incident on the hot gas sensitive part 13a of a detector 13 without absorption of energy. On the other hand, the measuring gas is filled in the outside chamber 12b and the transmitted IR rays are made incident on a cold gas sensitive part 12b after the energy is absorbed. The difference in the energy quantity of the IR rays incident on the part 13a and the part 12b is thus detected in the detector 13 and the detected output thereof is fed to a meter 16 via an amplifier 15. The concn. of the specific gaseous component in the measuring gas is known by the indicated value thereof. |
