PURPOSE:To attain a highly effective application of a personal computer by using a RAM as a file to attain the read and write actions with a sequential access type external memory used as a random access type file. CONSTITUTION:A sequential access type floppy disk device is used as a random file via a dynamic RAM memory CMF. In other words, the contents written in the disk device are all read out to a prescribed area of the memory CMF. This CMF is capable of the random file processing owing to the presence of a RAM. Then all files are written in the disk device when the file processing is over. Thus random access is possible finally. When a printer PRT is used, the codes to be sent to the printer are stored temporarily in the buffer or the CMF. This secures a spool function.
