摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve saving of material, improved precision, less grinding processes and reduced cost by manufacturing a tappet adjusting screw without flanging operation. CONSTITUTION:Wire having the diameter of a screw material is cut in a certain length to obtain a material 10, and the material 10 is inserted into a press hole 13 of a die 11, until one end of the material 10 comes in abutment against a front extruding restriction 14, and when a punch 12 is lowered, the other end of the material 10 is inserted into a press hole 15, this lowering of the punch 12 causing the end of the material 10 to be restricted through front extruding by the restriction 14 of the hole 13 and the other end of the material 10 to be restricted through rear extruding by the restriction 16 of the hole 15 in the punch 12, and further lowering of the punch results in formation of a spherical surface 20. Thus, material can be saved, precision is improved, grinding processes become less and cost can be reduced.
