PURPOSE:To improve the uniformity of color by forming an organic film with organic filming agent containing alcohol to be shown by general formula HO(CH2)nOC4H9 onto a phosphor film formed on the inner face of glass panel thereby improving the brightness of color picture tube. CONSTITUTION:An organic film is formed with organic filming agent containing alcohol to be shown by general formula HO(CH2)n.O.C4H9 such as butyl cellosolve, butyl-carbitol, etc. having sufficient acryl resin for smoothing the phosphor screen while performing vaporizing speed control of water from intermediate film agent under intermediate film forming process and providing flexibility to the film onto the phosphor film formed on the inner face of glass panel of picture tube. Consequently, uniform intermediate film is formed entirely onto the phosphor screen to produce good metal film resulting in improvement of the picture quality and the brightness of color picture tube. |
