PURPOSE:To judge whether the camera is in a back light state or not by using the photodetecting element of a range finding system which scans a subject field even as a photodetecting element for the spot light metering of each subject within the subject field, measuring light and finding the range on time-division basis from the output of the photodetecting element. CONSTITUTION:The photodetecting elememt 40 is usable as both the range finding element and spot light metering element, and the range finding operation when a light source 25 is on or the light metering operation when off is carried out on time-division basis. On the ohter hand, an AE photodetecting element 41 is provided separately and applied with a proper bias voltage V2 at its anode side to meter light from all subjects within the subject field over a wide range on the average. The light metering information which is compressed logarithmically by a diode 43 is used to perform AE control by transistors 46 and 47 constituting a current mirror, resistance 14, capacitor 37, and comparator 73. A back light level setting circuit 96 sets the level through a resistance 8 with a proper constant voltage V3 to set the level for a back-light judgement. |
