PURPOSE:The titled composition useful as a binder for magnetic disc, etc., having good processing properties and workability, improved heat resistance, wear resistance, and adhesivity, obtained by blending a cyanic ester resin composition containing diene rubber with magnetic powder. CONSTITUTION:(A) 30-95pts.wt., preferably 40-85pts.wt. thermosetting resin comprising A1: a polyfunctional cyanic ester shown by the formula (m is 2-5; R is aromatic organic group; cyanoto group is linked to aromatic ring of organic group) containing two or more cyanoto groups in the molecule, a prepolymer of the cyanic ester, or a prepolymer of the cyanic ester and an amine and A2: diene rubber as essential components is blended with (B) 5-70pts.wt., preferably 15-60pts.wt. magnetic powder (e.g., iron oxide, chromium dioxde, etc.) having 0.007-1mu, preferably 0.01-0.5mu particle diameter. An amount of A2 blended is 5-20wt% based on the total amounts of the composition.
