PURPOSE:To prevent disturbance on the edges of an image at the time of fixing by eliminating a part of the light, emitted from a lamp used for a fixing heater, corresponding to the sensitive spectral region of ZnO used for a photosensitive paper. CONSTITUTION:A latent image formed on a photosensitive paper 24 fed with its photosensitive face under surface between developing plates 1, 2 with feed rollers 3, 4 is developed with a developing fluid 8 ejected between the plates 1, 2. Most of the solvent of the fluid 8 attached to the paper 24 is squeezed out with squeezing rollers 5, 6, but some of it remains attached to the paper 24. It is advanced between guides 12, 13 in a state floated with gas flow delivered from a fan 20 without contacting with the lower guide 13. The image on the paper 24 is fixed by irradiation of light with the fixing lamp heater 14 in this duration of time and ejected, but since a part of the light corresponding to the photosensitive wavelength region of ZnO has been eliminated, the paper 24 is not affected at all.
