NEW MATERIAL:A peptide of the formula (Tyr, Cys, Gln, Asp, Pro, Val, Lys, Glu, Ala, Asn, Leu, Phe, Gly, His, Ser, Thr, Ile, Trp, Arg, Met mean thyrosine, systeine, glutamine, aspartic acid, proline, tyrosine, valine, lysine, glutamic acid, alanine, aspargine, leucine, phenylalanine, glycine, histidine, serine, threonine, isoleucine, triptophane, arginine, methionine; J is methionine or H). USE:Antiviral and cell growth inhibitor. PREPARATION:An aminoacid with the protected amino group is bonded to the support through the carboxyl group, then deprotected in the amino group selectively. The free amino group is allowed to react with the second aminoacid bearing the protecting amino group. These operations are repeated, then the covalent bond between the carboxyl in the terminal aminoacid of the resultant peptide and the support is cleaved.
