TIME-DIVISION MULTIPLEX TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

In a time-division multiplex transmission system, a host machine and a plurality of addressable terminals are connected together by way of a signal line. The same address is assigned to a group of the terminals so that the group of the terminals may be placed under control at the same time on receipt of a transmission signal from the host machine. Reply signals from the respective terminals are adjusted such that they are sent back at different points in time. This enables the host machine to determine which of the terminals sends back which reply signal.
