PURPOSE:To obtain superior mechanical strength including flection resistance, to reduce extension and contraction due to heat and to attain mass-production by winding plural thin-diameter wire rods of FRP or glass spirally around the peripheral surface of an FRP linear body, and fixing them with resin. CONSTITUTION:The linear body 6 made of FRP is unwound from a supply drum 9 and run between coating rollers 10 for applying unsaturated polyester resin 8. Then, the linear body 6 is guided to the cabling gauge 11 of a stranding machine and FRP-made thin-diameter wire rods 7 unwound from plural stranding machine bobbins 12 are wound around the peripheral surface of the running linear body 6 at specific pitch. Then, the linear body 6 wound with the thin-diameter wire rods 7 is passed through a rotary drawing die 13 to remove unnecessary resin and is dried in a drying furnace 14. The respective thin-diameter wire rods 7 are fixed on the peripheral surface of the linear body 6, which is taken up around a take- up drum 15 to form a spacer 5. |
