发明名称 PULSATING COMBUSTION APPARATUS
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain desirable pulsating frequency as well as to get a needed heating surface, by connecting a plurality of tail pipes of nearly the same length to a combustion chamber, and by setting pulsating frequency in those pipes corresponding to the length of one pipe. CONSTITUTION:Fuel gas and combustion air are fed into a mixing chamber 1 through feed pipes 2 and 3, respectively. Pulsating combustion starts in a combustion chamber 5 when mixed gas is ignited by an ignition plug 4. Explosion pressure accompanied with pulsating combustion is uniformly received by the downstream side of a combustion chamber 5 which is composed of a semi- spherical surface 5a. When four tail pipes 6... are used, for example, needed heat transfer area can be obtained with one-fourth length in comparison with the case when one tail pipe is used. When the former frequency was 25Hz, for instance, the latter becomes 50Hz. Thereby normal and stabilized pulsating combustion is taken place. Because a plurality of pipes in the nearly same length consist of tail pipes to be connected to the combustion chamber, the tail pipes can be designated in accordance with the need of heat transfer area, and desirable pulsating frequency can easily be obtained from those pipes. In addition, the size of the titled combustion apparatus can be miniaturized.
