PURPOSE:To accomplish a non-contacting measurement of a body shape, by irradiating a supersonic wave pulse from a sender to a body placed in the air and measuring the body shape by analyzing a signal which received a reflected signal by an analyzing means. CONSTITUTION:An electric pulse generated from a pulse generator 4 is dissipated into the air after conversion into a supersonic pulse 11 by a sender 5 for irradiation onto a human head 1. The head 1 is divisible into head proper 2 and hair 3 and a part of the pulse 11 is reflected from a surface of the hair 3 and received by a wave receiver 6 as a reflected signal 14. A part of the pulse 11 reaches the surface of the head 2 as a transmitted wave 12 and reflected here to be received by the receiver 6 as a reflected signal 13. At this moment, wave transmitter 5 and wave receiver 6 are set at the optimum position and angle around the head 1 by a scanner 10. After amplification and detection of the received signal by a signal receiver 7, it is processed by a signal processing apparatus 8 and displayed on a displaying apparatus. |
