PURPOSE:To build a weir having high strength, by a method wherein a column member is extended through a hollow spherical joint to join the member with the joint by welding, a beam member is welded to the spherical part of the hollow spherical joint in a condition to cross the column member at right angles, and the interior of the joint is filled with grout. CONSTITUTION:A concrete weir 4 is built on a ground 3 in a river 2, and a weir 1 made of steel pipe is built upright on the central part of the concrete weir. The weir 1 is constructed such that a column member 16 made of steel pipe is interposed into a guide hole 17 of a hollow spherical joint 13 to secure the member by welding, the one end of each of beam members 19 and 23 made of steel pipe is welded to each of circular seats 20 and 20', and a space between the column member 16 and the joint 13 is filled with grout 22' to cure the grout. This enables the space between the column member 16 and the joint 13 to form an enclosed solid structure, resulting in the possibility to provide the joint part with high rigidity and strength. |
