PRESSURE WELDING EQUIPMENT BY RESISTANCE HEATING

PURPOSE:To subject a material to be pressure-welded having a small natural resistance to the heating and pressure welding with less electric power for quality improvement by constituting a clamping tool with an electrode supporter of the material having a small natural resistance and an exothermic supporter of the heat resisting hard material having a big natural resistance. CONSTITUTION:A clamping tool 5 is electrified via a cable 4 from a power source transformer 3 and an electric current is passed to an exothermic supporter 5b and a material to be pressure-welded 1 via an electrode supporter 5a. The exothermic supporter 5b is easy in generation of heat by electrifying and prevents the out-flow of heat from the pressure welded face of the material to be pressure-welded to the electrode supporter 5a and raises the temp. in short time with less electric power. At the time when the temp. of the pressure welded face of the material 1 to be pressure-welded is raised the electrifying is suspended and simultaneously the material 1 to be pressure-welded is pressure-welded by moving one of the clamping tool 5 to pressure-welding direction with a hydraulic mechanism for giving a pressurizing force. The flowing metal caused at the time of pressure welding of the material to be pressure-welded is removed by the exothermic supporter 5b consisting of heat resisting hard material.
