<p>PURPOSE:To set up the stop position of a tape-like recording medium extremely stably by using an unrecorded part having a prescribed length in a controlling continuous wave signal corresponding to a connection part of a recording information signal to determine the stop position on the basis of any one end of the unrecorded part at the time of socalled head locating. CONSTITUTION:When a head 5 reaches a point C and the reproduction of a queue signal clock is interrupted, a counter 110 counts up the clock, and when the queue signal clock is reproduced again at a point B, the output of an AND gate 113 is turned to H and the Q output of an FF112 is turned to H. Since a signal T6 is H at that time, a signal T1 is turned to H through an AND gate 125 and an OR gate 126 and an FF mode is commanded. At that time, the head 5 is moved up to a point A by its inertia and its travelling direction is inverted. The output of the AND gate 125 is supplied to a timer 114. If the output of the timer 114 is turned to H for a slight period, the clock can be prevented from the passage of an AND gate 109 immediately after the switching of the mode.</p> |
