发明名称 LASER WELDING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To make automatic welding irradiating beam spot on a welding line even when the accuracy of positioning is not high by making the beam spot long sideways by using optical fibers in which sectional form of the core is long sideways. CONSTITUTION:A branching optical system section 11 is mounted to a laser oscillator 10 and laser light is transmitted while branching it to optical fibers 12 and 13 to enable simultaneous welding of two weld lines. As for the sectional form of the optical fibers 12 and 13, an elliptical core 12A is formed at the center of a cladding 12B. The beam spot of the optical fiber 12 is so irradiated that the major axis intersects a weld line at the corner part at which opposing side edges of the second object 6 to be welded and the upper side plate of the first object 5 to be welded come into contact at right angles, and the beam spot of the optical fiber 13 is so irradiated that the diameter intersects other weld line at right angles. Thus, the weld line is laser-welded, and on the other hand, the weld line is laser-welded by weld points of equal pitch.
