PRODUCTION OF COMPOSITE WIRE

PURPOSE:To provide the freedom in control of eccentricity by providing axially a shunt blade of a coating material and a pressure-resistant reinforcing piece in symmetrical positions to the side face of a nipple having a projecting part of a circular columnar or other shape and disposing axially movably the nipple and die. CONSTITUTION:The shunt blade 8d of the coating material (b) is formed axially to the side face of the circular columnar body 8a of the nipple 8 and the pressure-resistant reinforcing piece 8e on the opposite side. The die 7 is movable in the axial direction of an extruding chamber 6 by the rotation of a die retainer 7a. The nipple 8 is also movable in the axial direction by the rotation of a nipple retainer 10. A core wire (a) is introduced through the nipple 8 into the chamber 6 and the coating material (b) is introduced through an introducing path 5. The spacing between the die 7 and the nipple 8 can be easily adjusted by the die retainer 7 and the nipple retainer 10 in the stage of extrusion-coating through the die 7 from the chamber 6. The eccentricity of the composite wire is easily adjusted by the above-mentioned method.
