PURPOSE:To provide a gas separating molded body suitable for obtaining a gaseous mixture containing oxygen at high concn. from air, obtained by treating the surface of the molded body comprising a silylacetylene polymer with low temp. plasma of inorg. gas. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a molded article, which is based on a homopolymer or copolymer obtained by polymerizing one kind of or two or more kinds of a silylacetylene compound represented by formula (wherein R<1> is a hydrogen atom or an 1-8C unsubstituted or substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are indivisually a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an 1-8C unsubstituted or substituted monovalent hydrocarbon group or an 1-8C alkoxy group)., is treated with low temp. of inorg. gas, such as rare gas, halogen gas, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, steam or carbon dioxide to obtain a gas separating molded body. The low temp. plasma can be generated by applying power of 10kHz-100MHz, 10W-100kW under pressure of 0.05-10Torr and several sec- ten several min is required in a treating time.
