PURPOSE:To obtain an electrostatic image developing toner superior in releasability, etc., from the surface of a fixing roller by executing in an aq. medium, suspension polymn. of a polymerizable compsn. contg. a colorant, a polymerizable monomer, and polyolefin wax in a specified weight ratio to a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The intended electrostatic image developing toner is obtained by mixing 11-40pts.wt. of polyolefin wax, such as PP wax, per 100pts.wt. of a binder resin to be formed by polymn. of the polymerizable monomer, with a colorant, such as carbon black, said polymerizable monomer, such as styrene or ethyl acrylate, and a polymn. initiator, such as 2,2'-azobis-2,4-dimethylvaleronitrile, suspending the obtained polymerizable compsn. in an aq. medium, and polymerizing it. This toner is less liable to cause offset, paper winding, or the like trouble, and it can be used for heat roller fixing without requiring any liquid lubricant to be fed. |
