PURPOSE:To enable rapid bleach-fixing processing without tarring by processing an exposed silver halide color photosensitive material processed with a p-phenylenediamine type developing soln. further with a bleach-fixing soln. contg. Fe (III) diethylenetriaminepentaacetate complex salt, a specified compd., and a chelating agent. CONSTITUTION:The imagewise exposed silver halide color photographic sensitive material is processed with a color developing soln. contg. the p-phenylenediamine type color developing agent having on its amino group a water-soluble group, and processed with a bleach-fixing soln. contg. ferric diethylenetriaminepentaacetate complex salt as a bleaching agent, a chelating agent and/or its ferric complex salt, and a compd. represented by formula I in which Q is an atomic group necessary to form a hetero ring having one or more N atoms; R is H, a group of formula II, or 1-4C alkyl; and Q' is same as Q. A ratio of developing soln. to bleach-fixing soln. is controlled to >=2%. As the chelating agent, ethylenediamine-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetate, etc., and as the water-soluble group of said color developing agent, -(CH2)n-CH2OH, n being >=0, etc., are advantageously used. |
