PURPOSE:An electric discharge processing device in which processing accuracy is improved by maintaining a fixed relative position between a work and a wire electrode in such a manner as to control amount of flexture of a wire electrode-support- ing arm to a fixed valuve. CONSTITUTION:Amounts of supporting arms 4 and 5 are controlled to a fixed (or constant) value by a detector (slen gauge) 18, a brake device 11 which gives required braking force to a wire electrode 2 and a controller which controls braking force of the brake device 11 so that an output of the detector 18 becomes a required constant value. If the aforementioned amount of flexture is maintained at a fixed (or constant) value, wire electrode guides 16 and 17 are also maintained at fixed positions, an electrode 2 is properly positioned, the relative position to a work 1 is always maintained properly and therefore the work 1 is accurately processed along the required contour. |
