PURPOSE:To provide a titled apparatus which prevents accumulation of pulverous particles and recovers efficiently the pulverous particles having high purity by the constitution consisting in blowing a conveying gas to a raw material which is heated and melted by a plasma arc from one side and discharging the generated pulverous particles toward the other. CONSTITUTION:The plasma arc is generated between the raw material 18 fed by the raw material supplying mechanism 40 consisting of a motor 54, a screw bar 53, a lifting rod 48, etc. and a plasma torch 24 by an electric power source 56 to heat and melt the top end of said raw material 18 and to form a pool 70 in a crucible 17 in a furnace body 3 of a apparatus 2 for producing the pulverous particles, said apparatus is installed on a base frame 1. The conveying gas is blown toward the molten material surface of the pool 70 from a supply device 11 and a blow port 10 provided to one side wall of the body 4, by which the pulverous particles generated from the above-mentioned surface are conveyed and recovered through a discharge part 14 provided to the other side wall into a recovering device 15. The flow of gas in an arrow 71 direction blows together the impurities on the molten material surface to generate the pulverous powder having high purity and to prevent the accumulation thereof in the furnace. On the other hand, a magnetic field generator is provided to prevent the drift of the plasma arc.
