PURPOSE:To input ID data correctly without any intervention of an operator, prevent an X-ray photographing device from becoming complex, and to eliminate the trouble of compatibility by supplying a couple of a clinical film and an ID data film to an image readout position successively, and reading clinical data and ID data continuously with time. CONSTITUTION:Films F1A-F1C dedicated to ID data are superposed on clinical films F2A-F2C of specimens A-C to be examined alternately and loaded in a film holder 1. An automatic feeder 2 takes the film F1A out and sends it to a roller 3. At the same time, the film surface is scanned with laser light through a mirror 5 and ID data D1 is read through a detector 6, digitizer 7, detecting circuit 8, and judging circuit 9 and written on a memory 10. Then the automatic feeder 2 takes the film F2A out and the detecting circuit 8 reads its clinical data and writes it on a data address following that of D1 in the memory 10. This operation is repeated for the films of the examines B and C.
