PURPOSE:To take out arbitrary spectrally diffracted light, by arranging a slit apparatus for forming a slit shaped transparent part along the surface of the spectrum image formed by a light dispersing element by using a liquid crystal of which the transmissivity changes by the application of voltage. CONSTITUTION:The luminous flux of a light source 1 is projected to a slit apparatus 5 comprising a liquid crystal through a specimen measuring part 2, the inlet slit 3 of a spectrometer and a concave diffraction grating 4. The inlet slit 3, the diffraction grating 4 and a slit 5 are positioned on one Rowland circle R and the diffraction grating 4 has radius of curvature equal to the diameter of the Rowland circle R and center O of curvature is present on the Rowland circle R. The spectrum image of light having a wavelength region to be measured is formed on the slit 5 along the Rowland circle R. A photomultiplier tube 6 is placed behind the slit 5 and a slit control circuit 7 scans the slit 5 from one end thereof to the other end thereof on the basis of the program of a computer 8 to move a transparent part and the output of a detector 6 is stored while a spectrum is displayed by an output apparatus 9. By this method, an apparatus having long service life without mechanical part is obtained. |
