PURPOSE:To provide a titled installation which can avert heavy muscular labor in a high-temp. atmosphere by the constitution in which a carriage carrying a breaker for rough grinding and a cutter for finish grinding is moved back and forth on rails laid along a blast furnace spout by means of a wire rope. CONSTITUTION:The breaker 8 for rough grinding and the cutter 7 for finish grinding are mounted on the carrier 5 which is moved back and forth by means of a winch 3 via the wire rope 4 on the rails 2 laid along both sides of the blast furnace spout 1. The above-mentioned breaker 8 and cutter 7 can be respectively laterally and vertically swung via arms 6a, b by means of a head 6 for driving the arms provided at the center of the carriage 5 and is provided rotatably 180 deg.. The inside surface of the spout 1 is roughly ground by the breaker 8 and is then finish-ground by the cutter 7 while such carriage 5 is moved along the spout 1. The disassembling operation of the steeply inclined spout 1 is thus mechanically carried out and the operator is released from the heavy muscular labor in the high-temp. atmosphere. |
