PURPOSE:To improve the precision of the LED array which includes LED chips arrayed on a substrate and a condenser lens provided to said substrate by forming said condenser lens of a support part and a converging part in one body. CONSTITUTION:This invented LED array includes a converging member 5 arranged similarly as a substitute for a conventional condenser lens, but this converging member 5 includes the cylindrical converging part 6 and the support part 7 formed integrally with it. Then, the converging member 5 is manufactured by pressing and grinding glass, plastic, etc., and employing injection work, etc. In this case, the position precision of the LED chips 2 and converging member 5 depends upon the size precision of the support part 7 for the converging member 5. For the purpose, the component size of the support part 7 is varied according to the refractive index of the material of the converging member 5 such as glass and plastic and the shape of a converging member 6 to obtain the high-precision converging member. |
