<p>An aq. soln. of dye is sprayed over the detergent powder. The soln. is prepd. in steel mixer tank and fed to container of stainless steel, from where a metering pump supplies it to 4 spray nozzles over the detergent on a conveyor belt. For fixed valves of flow and pressure, the size and number of coloured specks are determined by the height of the spray nozzles. The installation includes control elements and devices to synchronise spraying with the starting and stopping of the belt.</p> |
