<p>PURPOSE:To change easily a set value of a software limit by providing a machine position reading means for reading a machine position from a present position counter, and using the position information from said means as setting information of an entry inhibited area of a machine. CONSTITUTION:A teaching operating board TB is provided with a mode selector switch MSS, etc., and also a numerical controlling system is constituted of a processing unit DPU, a position control data storage memory APM, a data memory DM, a software limit memory SLM, etc. In this state, when setting of an inhibited area of a movable part is changed, a software limit teaching mode is set by said operating board TB, a tool is moved to a point P1 of the inhibited area, and this position is read out of a present position counter and stored in said limit memory SLM. Thereafter, a position of points P2-Pn is stored by the same procedure, and the inhibited area is set. In case when the tool is converted to that which has a different size, too, it is executed in the same way.</p> |
