PURPOSE:The titled composition that is obtained by adding a specific amount of a mono- or dihydric alcohol boiling at a specific temperature to a water-soluble acrylic polymer which is composed of poly(meth)acrylic acid or its salt, thus showing good adhesion at elevated temperature and being used in adhesion for paper. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by combining (A) 100pts. wt. of (meth)acrylic acid homo- or copolymer or their salt soluble in water, preferably a copolymer for a mixture consisting of more than 80wt% of (meth) acrylic acid and less than 20wt% of (meth)acrylic alkyl ester, with (B) 10-100 pts.wt., preferably 20-70pts.wt. of a mono- or dihydric alcohol boiling at 150- 280 deg.C such as diethylene glycol. The resultant composition is suitable for use in adhesion for paper which is usually heat-treated at 150-200 deg.C after adhesion.
