PURPOSE:To improve the withstand strength against a reverse phase current by providing a thick damper bar over the entire longitudinal length of a coil slot on the lower surface of a wedge having the prescribed coil slot. CONSTITUTION:A coil slot 3 provided between poles 4 and 4 is composed of a shallow coil slot 3A disposed near the pole and a deep coil slot 3B disposed at the intermediate between the poles. A slot insulator 5, a plurality turns of field coil conductors 6 laminated radially, a creepage block 7 and a wedge 9 are inserted into the intermediate coil slot 3B. On the other hand, a damper bar 8 is inserted into the coil slot 3A disposed near the pole between the block 7 and the wedge 9. The damper 8 makes contact with the lower surface of the wedge 9 to spread over the entire longitudinal length of the slot 3A. Thus, the withstand strength against a reverse phase current can be improved. |
